Hello World!
This is the first entry on the blog of the XYZ Project! Welcome! Why XYZ? Because I want my team, once it is conformed, to participate in the selection of the name. I hope it is a good idea
I won’t be able to publish some details of the project for now as we need to patent and trademark some of the details. Sorry! It is not my fault. Go beat my lawyer. Nevertheless, here is a brief summary of what has happened so far:
The core idea behind XYZ was developed several months ago. It is probably the largest and most ambitious project that I have ever attempted to accomplish. I am trying to take advantage of the knowledge, resources, and experience that I as well as many others I know have acquired.
Back in September of last year (2007) I finally secured capital for the project. Right away I started recruiting geniuses. The first person to accept the offer and assume the risk was Maestro. Maestro is the best web and usability designer I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. If you don’t believe me, wait until the project is launched and you will see it for yourself. It won’t be until February though, that Maestro will join our team.
The next person to accept the offer was Henry. Henry has many years of experience working in similar but smaller projects. I have never worked with him directly, but his reputation precedes him. Henry will start working on Merrcury January 9th.
I have also tried to recruit two other great people. They are currently working on a project and it won’t be until next year that they will have time. I won’t push them for a decision right now, though.
As for me, I will start working on the project full-time in February. But first I will get unplugged, take a long vacation going to the very end of the world (Patagonia), recharge my batteries, and come back to work hard until the project is profitable.
Alex
